HDCS works in four main sectors: Health, Education, Community Development, and Disaster Management. In health, it manages hospitals and delivers essential care services to underserved populations. In education, HDCS strengthens rural, public, and community schools through teacher training and school development projects, while also operating two special needs education centers to ensure inclusive support for children with disabilities. Through community development initiatives, HDCS implements projects that embrace the One Health concept, promote environmental sustainability, advance gender empowerment, and foster social inclusion—particularly by advocating for the rights of people living with disabilities. Our work also focuses on maternal and child health, livelihoods, and WASH initiatives, while also operating community radio stations that share vital knowledge on health, education, and social empowerment to uplift everyday lives. In disaster management, HDCS provides humanitarian relief and implements preparedness initiatives, responding swiftly to severe natural disasters and building resilience within communities across Nepal.
