Strengthening Access to Functional Emergency Health Services (SAFE - Health Services)

This project seeks to improve the health and resilience of rural communities in West Rukum and Lamjung by strengthening health facilities, promoting sustainable practices, and empowering local populations. Building on lessons from previous initiatives, it scales proven approaches to create lasting impact.

This project aims to build resilient health systems by strengthening public health facilities and enhancing community preparedness through capacity building and disaster risk reduction measures. It seeks to improve knowledge and awareness among health personnel and communities through training on WASH and climate‑related health risks, ensuring safer practices and informed decision‑making. The project also promotes climate‑friendly agriculture by introducing the One Health Approach and equipping farmer groups with skills in climate‑resilient farming that link human, animal, and environmental health.

By integrating health, education, and sustainable livelihoods, the project positions rural communities to withstand challenges, safeguard families, and foster healthier futures.
