Growing Together: Progress at the One Health Model Farm
1 min read

At HDCS, we believe that health is not just about individuals—it’s about the interconnected well-being of people, animals, and the environment. That’s why we’re proud to share some exciting updates from our One Health Model Farm in Kotjahari, West Rukum, a living example of this holistic approach in action.

The One Health Model Farm continues to flourish, reflecting our commitment to organic farming, environmentally friendly practices, and humane animal shelter management. This initiative is more than just a farm, it’s a learning hub and a beacon of sustainable agriculture.
Our farm is gaining recognition as a model for local farmers, drawing interest from communities eager to adopt healthier, more sustainable practices. Twice a month, we host learning visits where model farmers explore topics aligned with One Health principles, from soil health and composting to animal care and integrated pest management.

We’ve successfully completed several trainings for model farmers.
Our farm is not just growing crops—it’s growing community resilience, environmental stewardship, and shared knowledge. As we continue to promote the One Health approach, the farm stands as a testament to what’s possible when we nurture the connections between human, animal, and environmental health.
